Goal of the Project: To increase awareness of Northern Illinois Food Bank and our

hunger relief programs and expand corporate and community engagement through

volunteering, donations, special events and peer-to-peer fundraising.

Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: 8/1/2018 - 8/1/2019)

Review current corporate and community doors in Lake and McHenry Counties.

Member Activity:

 - Research current corporate financial donors and recommend strategy to engage in additional activities, such as volunteering, Mobile Pantries, special events food and fund drives.

- Research current food donors and recommend strategy to engage in additional activities, such as volunteering, Mobile Pantries, special events or financial donations

- Research businesses and community groups not currently engaged with the Food Bank and contact for tour or presentation.

- Research and attend networking events, including Chamber of Commerce, non-profit coalitions etc. to represent the Food Bank, distribute information and find potential new donors and volunteers

- Arrange visits or presentations at Food Bank or at corporate location to share information

- Cultivate and steward all relationships through meetings, grants or proposals for funding

Member Activity:

- Research current corporate volunteers and recommend strategy for increased

engagement, such as financial donations, special events or food and fund drives

- Research and engage new volunteer groups to assist at North Suburban Center or with Mobile Pantries in area

- Engage with volunteer groups at the North Suburban Center to build relationships and establish potential for donations or fundraisers

- Cultivate and steward relationships through presentations or written proposals

 

Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: 8/1/2018 - 8/1/2019)

Engage new corporate and community groups in peer-to-peer fundraising.

Member Activity: Step 1: Introduce corporate or community groups to the tools available for peer to peer fundraising on Food Bank website. Step 2: Develop and launch a peer to peer giving campaign for a specific time period. Step 3: Grow the Pass the Plate campaign during Hunger Action Month by recruiting new restaurant participants in Lake and McHenry counties.
