IS Systems Access Management Analyst II

IS Systems Access Management Analyst II - INF001213

The Systems Access Management team is responsible for meeting with internal and external auditors and IT management to review audit reports as well as maintaining compliance reporting. The IS Systems and Access Management Analyst II (SAM) is responsible for account provisioning, role provisioning, and role management. The role focuses on the completion of approved access request tickets, incident tickets, and work flow creation within Remedy.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in projects and production support operations focused on implementing Systems Access Management (SAM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) integrations and roles based access control (RBAC) strategies
  • Collaborates in the design and implementation of the IAM technologies best practices on identity management, and authentication mechanisms
  • Creates and designs technical requirements such as gap analysis, infrastructure, interfaces, reports, enhancements, automation and/or conversions
  • Identify and communicate high-level gaps and issues in primary functional area
  • Participate in projects to ensure standard processes and procedures are implemented when rolling out new provisioning and role management points
  • Monitors delivery against SLAs and addresses exceptions to management
  • Actively participates in and implements change control process
  • Proactively identifies risks and issues and develops recommendations to address - takes action to address significant risks and issues. Identifies potential business interruptions risks (disaster recovery) and takes action to prevent
  • Manages directory account permissions via role based access control (RBAC)
  • Own monthly and quarterly compliance and access control auditing, for USC\ DS employee, contractor, third party vendor employee, and agent employee user accounts and application service accounts
  • Implement and improve account provisioning, role provisioning, role management, access control auditing and access control testing processes and procedures
  • Identify potential areas where existing access control policies and procedures require change or improvement
  • Champion problem management, drive root cause resolution & reduce future incidents
  • Escalates and independently drive difficult issues with other technical teams and business partners to conclusion
  • This team has a 24/7 On Call rotation which the IS SAM Analyst II will be a part of approximately once every 4 weeks




Experience and Educational Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience within information technology, 2 years with data security
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence other technical teams and business partners
  • Service oriented and work easily with users and IT management
  • Strong experience assessing and implementing access control procedures and processes
  • Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Windows AD and LDAP
  • Must be able to describe and communicate access control security policies
  • Create audit reports from AGS templates
