Job Duties: Responsible for providing high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing and supporting applications within a mature technology environment. She will adhere to technical coding standards, procedures, and techniques and contribute to the technical code documentation; perform detailed unit testing; participate in application support enhancement activities. Additionally, the Developer BI/ETL will perform the following duties: Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Technical Architects to analyze business / technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solutions; Participate in project estimation activities; Translate technical requirements into a detailed design for new and existing code; Document the detailed design specifications; Incorporate support, standards, and security requirements into design; Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; Develop and enhance software application modules; Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; Perform unit, system and integration testing and participate in capacity / performance testing of an application; Adhere to security, control, and SDLC policies throughout design, development and testing; Understand and execute release management and change management processes for changes to applications; Identify and document ongoing maintenance requirements; Production support activities involving the identification, troubleshooting and resolution of application issues and code defects; Provide off hours support as required; and Take ownership of problems and stay with them to their resolution.

Position requires Minimal Travel - Domestic - U.S. Cellular locations and/or external conferences/training seminars - Less than 10%.

Requirements: The position of Developer BI/ETL requires a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience with database engine including Oracle as well as ETL development, Informatica Programming, Strong Database (Modeling, SQL), Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's Degree or its foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible, post baccalaureate experience with database engines including Oracle as well as ETL development, Informatica Programming, Strong Database (Modeling, SQL), Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL.

Specific Skills or Other Requirements: Additionally, the applicant must have experience with: 1. BI/ETL development in the IT industry with recent development, system administration, application tuning and debugging experience with Informatica; 2. Software Engineering applications including: PL-SQL, SQL Plus, K Shell, C Shell; 3. Perl O/S & Network: IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, HP/UX, LINUX; 4. Database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures; 5. Data Integration/Warehousing methodology and techniques; and 6. SDLC and production environments.
