2019 IT Summer Internship - Release & Project Delivery - Chicago, IL - INF001207

Instruction and Responsibility Highlights
  • Learn how to create executive-level reports and presentations on IS projects scope, costs and timeline.
  • Learn how to create and maintain in-flight project content and archive completed project documentation.
  • Learn how to track and report project costs against budget and gain experience in assisting the project manager in forecasting project costs.
  • Learn how to consolidate project plans and internal communication plans and identify cross-project dependencies.
  • Gain experience with reviewing, managing and updating the department website, shared directory and department website documents
  • Attend project meetings, document meeting minutes and address any follow-ups.
  • Other duties as assigned by Project and Portfolio Managers

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to participate and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Previous internships or knowledge in telecom/wireless industry, software development, and relevant computer networks/protocols is highly preferred
  • Preference will be given to students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
