Sr. Web Operations Strategist

Be part of the exciting growth of our I/S Organization. The new Web Operations team is focused on driving towards operational web excellence and presents a great opportunity for individuals with demonstrated experience in Ecommerce, Web Development and Web Operations. Collaborate with our leadership team to execute and measure the strategies that sustain the availability and performance of our web applications and supporting platforms. This high visibility senior strategist interacts with professionals across the organization to anticipate operational demand, resolve issues and report on the impact changes have on our web activities and goals.

Responsibilities
  • Strategizes with business and Enterprise Architects to understand implications for technical and middleware architecture and how changes may have an impact on our online customer experience.
  • Identifies risks (business, application, technical) associated with web environments, applications and data sources
  • Strategize and anticipate customer needs through defect management, enhancement ideation, new development and improving processes in support of corporate strategies and sustain web operational efficiencies.
  • Ensures web-based reusable components can be implemented in support of:
    • Data persistence and accessibility
    • Maintain transactional integrity between systems and platforms
    • Ensure secure access to web solutions
  • Subject matter expert in web applications, platforms, architectures and serve as operational liaison on all customer facing web and mobile platforms.
  • Partner with Release Management to ensure Operational Readiness including defining the needs to ensure success, reviewing test cases and provides off-hour support as needed.
  • Gather metrics from multiple platforms and perform analysis on system performance, trends and changes.
  • Provides knowledge on industry trends and the evolution of customer facing web systems. Conducts analysis and reports on the state of issues, resolutions and initiatives supporting the operational web
  • Coach / mentor other team members as appropriate


Experience and Technical Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science. Will also consider equivalent combination of education and experience or specialized training
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in web analytics and metric visualization
  • Prior experience working in diverse cross-functional, cross-departmental, vendor projects and technologies preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to a diverse audience
  • Provide rigorous analysis communicated clearly and professionally suiting the business needs and the audience.
  • Understanding of architecture methodologies, development lifecycle and solution design standards
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and enablers: Angular, JSON Java/JSP, J2EE, XML, web services, SOAP, WSDL
  • Integration Technologies: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), ESB, NODE, Jenkins Deployment Tool, RESTful API's and Services or equivalent
  • Web Analytics: Google Analytics, Data Studio, Site Core, Tableau
  • System Performance Monitoring: Splunk, Wily, Dynatrace and New Relic or equivalent required
  • Internet Technologies and Markup languages: HHTP, HTML, CSS
  • Standards & Methodology: CMMI, RUP, Extreme, Agile, Scrum or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office suites includes Visio, and SharePoint
  • Modeling / Reporting Tools : Embarcadero, Erwin, Metadata Tools, Cognos, Business Objects, UML, Rochade or equivalent
  • Databases: Oracle, SQLServer, etc...or equivalent
  • Experience in developing, testing and maintaining websites as well as other web enabled solutions such as mobile Native Apps, Responsive Design Websites and Hybrid solutions using secure coding practices (preferred)
  • Business Applications: Billing & Rating, Activation & Provisioning, Inventory Management, Sales & Marketing, Campaign Management, Deal Compensation/Sales Commission, CRM/Customer Service, Amdocs Systems (preferred)
  • Experience with web security and access delegation technologies: OAuth, SMOL, SSL preferred
