Enrollment Outreach Specialist

OVERVIEW: We currently have an opportunity available for an Enrollment/Outreach Specialist with our Child Development and Youth Services division. Under the direct supervision of the Head Start Director this position Establishes linkage agreements for programs, assists in program organization of recruitment and outreach activities. Assists with enrollment of children across all programs, maintains files, records, statistics and reports used by child development program and ensures programming meets with requirements from all funding sources.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates, develops and implements a system for outreach and publicity for the recruitment, screening and enrollment of eligible families.
  • Works cooperatively with other agencies, entities and individuals to engender support for the Head Start program.
  • Identifies key community partners for collaborative agreements designed to assist with program support for head start program (libraries, clinics, etc.) Outline outreach objectives for each partner and implement strategies as directed.
  • Participates in the Community Assessment and Self-Assessment Process.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:Minimum of a BS Degree in Social Work or related field required. Ability to problem solve and work in a team environment. Exemplifies cultural humility and sensitivity and serves as a model for maintaining healthy habits and life-style.
Experience:Minimum of one year of experience working with children or families in an educational or clinical setting.
