Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides direct behavioral health patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
  • Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
  • Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
  • Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients

Qualifications


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • One or more of the following:
      • Paraprofessional certification through the IL State Board of Education or Type 73 license.
      • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
      • Illinois Teacher's Certification, LBS I or Substitute Teaching Certification or Professional Educator license

Education:
  • Bachelor's Level Degree, Bachelor's Level Degree required(Bachelor's Degree in Education or Human Services field preferred)

Work Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience with adolescent populations preferred.
  • BA or BS in related field of education/psychology/expressive therapy preferred.
  • Working with students with Social Emotional Disorders in the classroom and during school day.
  • ****Must have a certification in related field or paraprofessional certification.
