Job Description

Job Summary:

Conducts Interviews and assessments for potential admissions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
  • Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
  • Admits patients to the hospital and registers outpatients with appropriate physician orders.
  • Documents calls and related admission information.

Qualifications


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Drivers License credentialed from the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (IL-DMV) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
      • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.

Education:
  • Master's Level Degree, Master's degree in a behavioral science or related field required

Work Experience:
  • One year of experience in mental health and/or addictions working with a variety of patient populations preferred.
  • Prior experience in a residential treatment center or behavioral health hospital preferred highly preferred.
