Additional Job Details: Part-Time, Days, 20 hours, Weekly

Shift: Monday-Thursday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Fridays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility to float to evening hours dependent on census and/or Monday-Thursday 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm., candidate needs some flexibility as the schedule will vary between the two listed evening schedules depending on census

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
  • Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Therapist will be responsible for treating patients with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Exposure Response Prevention.
  • Candidate must be flexible and willing to float to other departments in the hospital as needed.

Qualifications


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Certified Counselor specializing in Addiction credentialed from the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IADAPCA).

Education:
  • Master's Level Degree, Master's degree in a behavioral science or equivalent required(Social work, Counseling or a related field)

Work Experience:
  • Three years of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
  • Two years clinical experience and licensure preferred.
