General Summary:

The Employment Retention Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful compliance of contracts which prepare clients for employment, achieve employment retention, and/or engages clients in services beyond employment readiness, such as training and specialized employment placement. The Program Manager manages and facilitates the ongoing work of staff associated with these contracts including workplace supports, retention tracking, and/or access to further training and career path employment opportunities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Contracts

  • Maintain contractual compliance through demonstration of outcome progression toward completion of all deliverables
  • Conduct a monthly quality assurance review against the contract plan resulting in 100% contract compliance; implement and ensure the completion of a 30-day corrective action plan when review is less than 100%
  • Review relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff adherence to facilitate retraining and/or revisions as needed

 

Reports

  • Distribute on-time and accurate reports for assigned contracts as prescribed by the funder and vetted through internal structure/protocol
  • Coordinate audit preparation for assigned contracts and review audit-readiness prior to actual audit
  • Review financial statements to ensure budget compliance and explain variances in written monthly summary

 

Staff Management

  • Observe performance and provide regular coaching to staff on an ongoing basis
  • Regularly engage staff in development of annual performance goals, performance check-ins, completion of mid-year reviews and annual self-evaluations
  • Create opportunities to cross train staff to create interest in other work aspects, identify areas for staff development, and leverage resources

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - continued:

 

Collaboration

  • Work closely with others in Client Services and/or across the agency to maintain, develop and implement the Retention Services Model (RSM)
  • Represent the agency and attend meetings as needed with funding partners and potential grantors
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage workflow to outcomes despite client challenges
  • Strong and proven successful supervision and facilitation skills, able to coach in one-to-one and group settings
  • Strong program design, oversight and practical problem solving and planning skills
  • Must be able to write and communicate clearly; competent skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
  • Three (3) years of management experience in a similar capacity
  • Demonstrated success in managing others; able to document staff development practices
  • Demonstrable, replicable success at providing interventions effective in customers’ lives
