SUMMARY

Participate in the planning, direction, coordination, implementation, delegation, supervision and evaluation of quality patient care and cardiac cath lab activities. Direct and implement staffing schedules and patient assignments and cath lab exam room assignments. Provide effective leadership to employees and provide financial accountability of the lab through effective resource management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Select, orient, develop and evaluate highly motivated staff capable of successfully performing needed services that comply with the standards of the department, medical center, JCAHO, IEMA and other applicable regulatory agencies

Coordinate and administer all operational aspect of the cardiac cath lab and holding room.

Ensure compliance with established standards and prepare areas of responsibility for regulatory agency inspection.

Maintain personal knowledge through attendance of meetings, reading and communication with peers at other facilities.

Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Medical Center staff, management, physicians and external contacts to meet the lab and Medical Center objectives.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in nursing, or related field

> Three years progressively responsible Cath Lab managerial experience

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office; EPIC or Meditech Order processing systems; and Kronos Payroll systems preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Registered and Licensed as ARRT, ISRT or Registered and licensed as an RN in the State of Illinois

> CPR Certification

> ACLS Certification
