Mather are dedicated to developing and implementing Ways to Age Well by creating programs, places and residences for today's young at heart older adults. They bring the possibilities to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversees daily caf operations to build extraordinary experiences, a safe environment, and resources for aging well.
  • Assists the Caf Manager in developing and implementing the annual plan to achieve Caf ' goals, budget, and mission.
  • Assists in the selection, training, and managing of employees for performance consistent with the organization's mission, core values, and principles.
  • Also assists the Caf ' Manager in assuring programs are developed, implemented, promoted, and filled.
  • Promotes and represents the Caf ' in the community to build community awareness and participation
  • Also collaborates with the Master of Culinary Delights to assure high quality and successful dining operations.
  • Completes reports, training, surveys, and inspections as required by the organization and the City of Chicago.

Requirements:
  • 2 or more years of related experience in m enu planning, cooking, and restaurant/cafe management
  • Familiarity of aging programs, benefits, and resources
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent follow-through on tasks
  • Knowledge of job-related federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage and motivate staff and also have the capacity and enjoy working with older adults
  • Must exercise good judgment and make sound, independent decisions as needed
