The MREN Program Information Specialist will collect and analyze data related to the overall program, sub-awardee performance practices and program outcomes, demographic and market information relevant to the target populations served. As required, conducts applied research on juvenile justice statistics and practices. Based on that information, evaluates and reports on the overall effectiveness of the program to ensure adherence data collection and performance management requirements. In addition, the Program Information Specialist will identify areas for program improvement and enhancement. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all Grantees successfully report on performance metrics regarding the program’s core components with special attention to the 5 mandatory components.
  • Designs, develops, implements and maintains quantifiable program evaluation processes including facilitating the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a database/data management system.
  • Conducts analysis and projections on moderate to complex analysis projects as well as identifying issues/problems with data and makes recommendations to remedy errors.
  • Accurately compiles and submits reports to appropriate individuals within agreed upon time frames including assisting in Benchmark/Goal setting to insure statistical validity of goals.
  • Develops internal and external communications for stakeholder groups and acts as liaison with DOL representatives including participating in meetings, retreats, planning sessions, briefings, as necessary, to achieve program goals and outcomes.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate to expert skill level in MS Office programs in order to be able to facilitate the design, development, implementation/ maintenance of data/database management systems
  • Strong internet navigation and applied research skills as well as working knowledge of various statistical methodologies
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of non-profits, strongly desired
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of active auto liability insurance coverage is required
  • Access to a (reliable) vehicle is required for travel as necessary to carry out the sub-awardee responsibilities

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5+ years of direct work experience
