Co Manager

Plans, directs, and manages store merchandising, replenishment, logistics, and pricing operations to promote and maximize sales and profit margins and achieve labor goals. Meets or exceeds budgeted targets through effective utilization of resources. • Contributes toward ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers and a positive working environment for employees. • Direct supervision responsibilities including hiring, firing, disciplinary action, performance reviews, coaching, developing work plans, training, and providing work direction. • Ensures proper product handling to control shrinkage and waste. • Follows all company, store, and department policies and procedures. • Complies with federal and state regulations. • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers. • Demonstrates a love of food and passion for people to include incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through example and education of team members. • Institutes “best practice” leadership and management principles and ensures adherence to organizational procedures, policies, and systems. • Establishes and maintains a customer-oriented culture and delivers a high level of customer service. • Anticipates customer needs and resolves issues in a manner that strengthens customer loyalty. • Analyzes sales and work content of assigned departments to develop effective daily/weekly staffing and scheduling and meet productivity and operating standards. • Manages preparation of the store for physical inventory. • Communicates daily with Store Director providing ongoing store status, including successes, issues and planning. • A successful candidate will have a strong background overseeing employees in a high volume grocery or retail environment including operations from perishables to center store. • Previous experience directly supervising store employees in merchandising, replenishment, logistics, and pricing including indirectly supervising all store employees in absence of Store Director. • Demonstrates a love of food and passion for people to include incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through example and education of team members. • Previous experience running day and evening operations. • Proven experience to minimize shrink. • Previous experience creating a motivating work environment that results in a collaborative front end team. • Demonstrated experience providing appropriate staffing, training, scheduling, safety, sanitation, inventory control, equipment maintenance and shrink control to achieve expected results. • Must have open availability to work store hours including weekend and holiday hours.
