POLICE MANAGEMENT ANALYST
As seen in Daily HeraldPolice Management Analyst (Full-time) The Village of Skokie, IL is seeking qualified candidates for the position of full time Police Management Analyst, supporting the Skokie Police Dept. This position reports directly to the Police Chief. Performs high level, responsible administrative, technical and analytical duties; Serves as the Department's budget officer, grant administrator, accreditation subject matter expert, and coordinates and manages the development and implementation process for the Department's policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; Coordinates, develops, compiles, inputs and submits the Department's annual budget; Conducts data analysis of the Department's budget and presents findings and status at staff meetings; Serves as the Department's accreditation manager, responsible for ensuring that the Department is fully compliant in terms of law enforcement accreditation; Researches, reviews, recommends and prepares department policies and procedures and rules and regulations; Responsible for the administration of department Grants, including conducting research, making application and all subsequent reporting; Assists with communication through various platforms including review and revisions of the Police Department page of the Village website and social media pages; Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Management or closely related field required; Valid Driver's License required; Ability to obtain and receive Law Enforcement Agencies Data System (LEADS) less than full access certification within 6 months of employment; Proven work experience as a member or consultant to staff management functions of a progressive police agency; Prior experience in accreditation, business and governmental administration preferred; Considerable knowledge of police department procedures, practices and operations with emphasis in accreditation, policy creation and maintenance, grants and budget development; Thorough knowledge of relevant software applications including Microsoft Office Suite applications and the use of applicable department and third party vendor-specific software; Knowledge of basic principles and practices of statistics and data analyses. The salary range for this position is $66,852 - $85,322. The annualized starting salary range is $66,852 - $73,705 (DOQ).
