Pre-Press Technicians (Part-Time) Daily Herald Production Site -Schaumburg Are you creative and organized with Adobe InDesign experience? Choose the shift best for your schedule in one of our Pre-Press Technician jobs. Day Shift: 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday afternoons Night Shift: 15 hours per week, Sunday/Monday nights starting at 5pm (additional hours available) Responsibilities: Work in a team environment as the intermediary between the pressroom and commercial print clients to ensure accurate page flow for our publications to press. Prepare pages for commercial publications for output to press. Plan daily pressruns, facilitate page flow, output plates and stage them for the pressroom. Assist Ad Services staff with production of ads for newspapers, chamber publications, commercial print and digital. Requirements: Previous Media or printing experience is a plus Experience working in a Windows environment -Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and MS Excel knowledge strongly preferred. Creative with an eye for detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills (verbal and electronic) Excellent organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines.
