What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Manages and maintains Pharmacy information systems for the facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the development of pharmacy information systems.
  • Identifies system needs, performs system maintenance, trouble shoots system failures and provides education and training to staff.
  • Creates and generates reports and spreadsheets that capture and analyze data from various pharmacy applications.
  • Develops processes and technology designed to enhance patient safety.
  • Coordinates training of staff on proper use, application and security of all computer systems used by the pharmacy department and acts as a system expert and trainer for all computer systems used by the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong analysis skills and strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, customer service, and computer skills required.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills required

Ability to develop and lead work teams required

Education and/or Experience

Required
  • BSPharm, MSPharm or PharmD
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as informaticist required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as hospital pharmacist
  • Must be knowledgeable on pharmacy hardware, software, database, and clinical applications



Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Cerner, Meditech and/or Epic experience required.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • IL Registered Pharmacist license or eligible to be licensed in the state of Illinois. Must obtain IL Pharmacist license within an agreed upon timeframe.
