SUMMARY
The Manager, Behavioral Health - Addiction Services maintains quality patient care and fiscal viability of a free-standing outpatient behavioral health program unit. This position includes hiring/firing and professional supervision of all clinical and administrative staff on the unit. The Manager fulfills all the requirements and duties of the senior behavioral health clinician role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provides direct outpatient clinical services.
  2. Coordinates and approves patient accounts allowances with Presence Health administrative staff according to Addiction Services financial policies.
  3. Provides clinical assessments of prospective patients and reports verbally or in written format to referral agencies as required. Provides explanation of program and clinical services to program visitors and auditors.
  4. Represents unit publicly by providing educational community presentations and other community marketing functions.
  5. Hires, orients, disciplines, and monitors performance of all staff, and discharges if necessary in consultation with the Senior Director and Presence Health Human Resources Department.
  6. Responsible for accurate chart documentation and auditing, in compliance with regulatory bodies and insurance carriers. Maintains current knowledge regarding state and federal regulatory compliance and recommends policy and procedural changes.
  7. Leads the program staff in determining and achieving the overall unit goals and objectives in correlation with the system wide goals. Determines the ongoing educational and in-service needs of clinical, office, and support staff.
  8. Performs business and growth development initiatives to enhance marketing, and public relations activities for outpatient behavioral health to grow program and enhance profitability of these services lines and achieve revenue goals.
  9. Provides, coordinates and oversees a continuum of treatment services onsite and/or in the community, including transportation coordination, consistent attendance, and oversight of clinical documentation standards, billing requirements and coding standards.
  10. Assesses various services and programs offered at site for clinical content and appropriateness along with fiscal viability. Advises Senior Director of the needs for capital expenditures for incorporation into annual budget. Assists in the development of the annual operational budget.
  11. Oversees implementation of all clinical and fiscal activities. Schedules daily activities of the unit including staff assignments, job responsibilities, team meetings, business office functions, etc. Supervises and coordinates all patient care with physicians and other ancillary services.
  12. Completes all the requirements and duties of the senior behavioral health clinician role .

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
Master's degree in behavioral health, Master of social work, Masters of Science in counseling or psychology, Master of Arts in addiction counseling, or equivalent required. Minimum three years of senior level experience in clinical delivery and/or supervision of staff required. If person is recovering substance abuser, active involvement in 12-Step Recovery program and 4 years continuous abstinence required.

Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) who are eligible for LCPC acceptable. Must have training and experience in addiction treatment modalities in various settings.
