SUMMARY
The Housekeeper/Food Service Worker cleans assigned areas in accordance to established procedures. Assists Dietary staff in various functions including dishwashing, cleaning dining room and restocking supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Cleans dining tables, floors and counters. Restocks salt and pepper, sugar, cream, tea, coffee, and napkins.
  2. Serves food in serving line. Washes dishes, trays, utensils, pots and pans.
  3. Checks lamps and replaces burned out bulbs and inspects rooms for items left by guests. Gives forgotten items to front office or on table in entryway (at Kairos) with room number attached.
  4. Dusts furniture, windowsills, and blinds. Sanitizes toilets, showers, tubs, and restocks paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
  5. Vacuums carpets/rugs and mops floors in rooms, hallways, and stairwells in assigned areas.
  6. Makes beds and places clean towels and washcloths where needed.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of housekeeping experience is preferred, (preferably in a hotel or hospital environment).
