CDW LLC seeks a Senior Release Manager to schedule, coordinate and manage software releases across development teams at its Vernon Hills, Illinois office; oversee multiple release cycles simultaneously utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies; oversee SCRUM boards, coordinate stand-ups and help assign tasks across DevOps Development efforts; gather, document and organize all release artifacts including binary artifacts, database artifacts and special instructions from project teams; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to branching/merging, build failures, configuration changes and environment issues; initiate continuous improvement practice within the release management domain; define and publish KPI’s or key metrics on the effectiveness of change and release management; develop risk profiles for each release and advise IT management of recommendations; and maintain an inventory of various hardware and software components for different environments and ensure each environment is configured to accommodate scheduled releases.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or related field plus at least 6 years post-baccalaureate, progressive release management and full lifecycle software development experience in an enterprise development environment using Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
