What You Will Do
As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Performs legal research, document review and preparation and file management as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews legal documents, including notices, pleadings and correspondence, and manages calendar of corresponding due dates/deadlines.
- Drafts memorandums, correspondence, reports and other documents as requested.Provides guidance to management regarding legal issues pursuant to direction of Attorney. Acts as key interface between the Legal Department and clients, legal assistants, outside attorneys, vendors and others to assure a positive experience.
- Performs legal research to identify issues, determine supporting/contrasting legal authority and arrive at legal conclusions/recommendations.
- Identifies non-compliant payments and initiates contract discussions to resolve issues. Consults with management regarding contract compliance issues. Supports contract owners by educating them on the contracting process and contract language.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- Paralegal obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
- 1 year of experience required.
