Therapist II - Evening IOP Programs - PRN,Evening - AMITA Health ABBHH - Hoffman Estates,IL

Shift: ****position will be as needed; typical Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 10:30pm. Alternatively, this individual may be requested to also participate in day programming at the PHP/IOP level when needed.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to

Serve as a Counselor in our Center for Addiction Medicine Evening IOP programming. Individual will be expected to run therapeutic groups, manage milieu, conduct initial assessments and maintain thorough records for patients during their stay in program.

Responsibilities:
• Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
• Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

What You Will Need

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required
  • Masters Degree or higher mental health provider highly preferred

Work Experience:
  • Three years of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
  • Comorbid understanding with medical, trauma, addictions desired.
  • Must have solid communication skills, and enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competence with computerized programs necessary.
