ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Village of Skokie The Village of Skokie (IL) is now accepting applications for the position of full time OR part time Engineering Technician. Aids in the design & field inspection of civil & traffic engineering projects; (street resurfacing, water main, sewer & sidewalk). Duties include: operation of surveying equipment, preparing reports, researching & maintaining records, measuring quantities, construction inspection, and preparing cost estimates. High school diploma required, completion of college course work desired. Three years' experience in sub-professional civil or traffic engineering. Must possess good oral/written communications skills and knowledge of AutoCad, mathematics through trigonometry and its application to field surveying & engineering computations, and basic drafting and topographic surveying. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Full time salary range: $58,269 -$74,368/yr. (37.50 hrs./wk.) Part time salary range: $29.88/hr. -$38.14/hr. (approx. 18 hrs./wk.).
