What You Will Do
As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conducts patient assessments and assisting patients with establishing treatment goals.
- Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
- Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
- Perform safety rounds every 15 minutes
- Complete and document patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, heart rate, respirations)
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Provide a safe, clean, therapeutic milieu
- Foster an environment of care and compassion to promote healing
- Utilize crisis intervention, including verbal de-escalation
- Function as an integral part of the treatment team
- Facilitate educational groups and therapeutic activities
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Bachelor's Level Degree, Bachelor degree in behavioral health field required
Work Experience:
- One year of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred
