What You Will Do
Job Summary:
Provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
- Investigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.
- Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
- Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- Drivers License credentialed from the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles (IL-DMV) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Certified Security Guard credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) card preferred.
Education:
- HS or Equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience:
- Training in fire fighting and safety preferred.Hospital/Security experience preferred.
- Security Experience in healthcare security, preferred
Must obtain basic security officer certification through International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), within six (6) months of hire. - Saturday-Tuesday
7am-3:30pm
Wednesday-Friday Off
