Senior IT Finance Business Relationship Management

Overview

Manages, drives and leads the relationship between business partners and IT, serving as the business leaders’ single point of contact for IT related business. Accountable for relationship with business and IT roadmap.  Collaborates on strategy development, project proposal creation, and ensures alignment between teams. Promotes a broad understanding of IT roles, responsibilities, and capabilities across the business. Possesses deep knowledge of the business processes supported by IT solutions in the following back office Corporate functional areas: Finance (includes Indirect Procurement and Corporate Real Estate), Human Resources and Legal. Develops and documents business requirements, models current and desired capabilities, conducts gap analysis, prioritizes projects and IT investment, and maximizes IT value creation. Drives project completion on time and on budget with all commitments met.

Responsibilities

  • Connects business needs and IT capabilities to provide strategic guidance on business initiatives. Models current and desired states, uncovers business needs, and develops project requirements.
  • Drives, leads and manages requirements meetings for highly-complex IT business projects.
  • Performs moderately complex cost/benefit analysis when researching purchase and investment decisions for existing and future needs.
  • Partners with the business and IT teams on customer requirements, project planning and execution.
  • Tracks project planned vs. actual costs on highly complex projects. Drives IT project completion. Assesses quality and value creation. Debriefs projects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintains expertise in emerging technology and software capabilities as well as state-of-the-art business techniques.
  • Maintains positive relationships with other Zebra Technologies functions and between IT disciplines to effectively guide the development of cutting-edge IT business systems.
  • Enables cross-functional process alignment and integration spanning Supply Chain and Finance teams
  • Continually tracks business needs to provide short and long-term strategic direction and priorities to IT budgeting and planning.
  • Works closely with the business, information technology user groups and contracted service providers to assess and prioritize needs by way of the established portfolio planning processes.
  • Presents alternative solutions and their respective costs, benefits, and timing to business leaders to drive cost reduction and value generation in business projects.
  • Models existing-state and desired-state system functionality. Documents necessary changes to existing functionality as part of requirements.
  • Overseeing highly complex issues and applying advance root cause analysis
  • Establishes and monitors service level agreements.
  • Solicits feedback from users and communicates scorecards.
  • Supports and executes to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Preferred Work Experience (years):
    • 8+ years of experience
