Job Description

Job Summary:

Assists with cardiovascular procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
• Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
• Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certified Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Education:

• HS or Equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience:

• One or more years of experience preferred.Telemetry experience preferred.
• CCI preferred.
  Must have ability to identify ECG arrhythmias.
  Must have good customer service skills and be flexible with hours.
  Must be willing to work weekends.
• 8 or 10 hour days and available to work Monday-Sunday. Shifts start at 0630 or 7 am.
