We are looking for an exceptional team member to work as part of our Global Business Development team, to lead and execute strategic OEM business development in NA. This is a critical role to build and leverage existing leadership of Zebra and future growth outside of our core markets.

This role is remote and can be based anywhere in North America near a major airport. 

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be part of the “Global Business Development team” which includes Business Development functions for Professional Services, Global Partners and OEM. The team is part of the Global Sales and Services organization and provides business development support to the regional and local sales teams based in the countries. This role will also be tasked with defining if new routes or channels to market are required, and making recommendations to senior management as to what this “Go To Market” model would consist of, define the business development needs for this market and develop pertinent contacts in the industry.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be an OEM advocate to customers, partners and regional sales teams.
  • Develop business development strategy jointly with the regional OEM sales teams and different stakeholders.
  • Build partnerships and overall ecosystem for OEM offerings.
  • Foster tight linkage between OEM sales and OEM product organizations
  • Manage business development activities together with in-country resources across region.
  • Develop the right senior and mid-level relationships within the chosen partners/customers to model/build out new market opportunities that current OEM businesses are not focused on.
  • Lead and coordinate multi-functional teams to ramp up pipeline growth.
  • Work closely with marketing and the regional OEM Sales Leader to create and showcase value of Zebra.
  • Foster tight linkage between OEM Sales and;
    • Global Partners Sales to drive incremental OEM revenue.
    • The Professional Services organisation to create Services offerings that can be sold to and sold by OEM partners and customers.
  • Ensure alignment with other divisions of Zebra e.g. marketing, product marketing, legal, finance.
  • Coordinate with regional / in-country resources and facilitate and support joint demand generation and business development initiatives, following them through to deal ownership and closure where required.
  • Engage with and support other regional members of the Business Development team and the regional / in-country Zebra resources dedicated to the specific accounts.
  • Appropriate sales forecasting in line with standard Zebra processes.
  • Meet / exceed pipeline and bookings goals.

Qualifications

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Preferred Work Experience (years):
  • 5+ years of applicable work experience.

Strong technology background

  • Comprehensive understanding of vertical market (healthcare, manufacturing, retail), marketing and business development.
  • Must be able to effectively coordinate across various groups and functional teams both inside and outside of the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good listening and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable business development skills
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a team to accomplish goals
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to travel across NA on a regular basis
