STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Staff Accountant-Part-time KLA is an environmental and mining company and we are looking for a detailed-oriented, highly motivated individual to join our accounting team to work in our Wheaton office. KLA is looking for a part-time Staff Accountant who will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting along with relevant work experience. As a Staff Accountant you will be expected to: • Manage Accounts Payable, vendor set-up, vendor payments and 1099 reporting • Manage employee expense reports; including researching and implementing expense tracking application • Prepare invoicing of customers • Manage cash receipts, receivables and collections • Assist with month-end closing • Assist with filing regulatory forms • Assist with year-end activities • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reports as needed Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel • Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately • Knowledge of basic accounting principles Attributes: • Prioritization: executing short-term tasks that require quick turnaround while also progressing on long-term projects • Attention to detail: presenting accurate numbers and models to the team • Good interpersonal skills • Organization; balancing a host of different daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities • Self-directed learner; who is comfortable handling ambiguity • Communicating clearly and professionally to our clients and vendors, both written and verbal • The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material • The ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelines Approximately 20 hours per week
