Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides therapeutic psychological counseling.

Responsibilities:
  • Assesses a patient's psychological status and provides appropriate interventions and treatments.
  • Collaborates with nursing and ancillary service to provide appropriate psychological therapy for patient. Refers patients to other disciplines for consult and evaluations as indicated.
  • Provides psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary team. Acts as resource to other disciplines.
  • Participates in the day-to-day operations of the department.

Qualifications


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist required.

Education:
  • Doctorate (professional)
    • PhD or Psy D in Clinical Psychology required; Appointee must have a sound knowledge of psychological testing and assessments in regard to adults, adolescents and children

Work Experience:
  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • Psy.D in the field of clinical psychology with emphasis on children and adolescents.
  • Should have some experience in both the clinical field as well as clear understanding with school operations including the writing of Individual Education Plans.
  • Should have experience leading teams and completing clinical assessments.
  • Will be expected to consult in public schools and participate in speaking engagements.
  • Bonus pay for summer school.
