ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under supervision, this position is responsible for performing secretarial/administrative duties to support the work of the appropriate Director, Sr. Director, Executive Director, or Division VP including composing and typing correspondence, report development, meeting coordination, on-boarding, maintenance of confidential documents, cubicle and office set-up, timekeeping, and screening phone calls and visitors. These duties require thorough knowledge of office procedures. This Administrative Assistant level requires independent judgment and initiative, the ability to work collaboratively and inclusively, assisting in translating strategy into action, applying sound judgment, and generating innovative ideas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years administrative support experience.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Independent judgment and initiative
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes, Outlook.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • SharePoint and Outlook experience preferred.
  • Willingness to develop project management skills
  • Knowledge of BCBS policies and procedures, and software.
  • Flexibility in hours worked Monday through Friday.
  • Willingness to develop budget variance skills
