McHenry County Economic Development Corporation, a private/ public non-profit, is seeking a dynamic, results oriented individual to lead economic development in McHenry County, Illinois. This visionary leader must possess strong financial and political acumen, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and possess a proven track record of formulating and executing strategic plans, building consensus and growing the impact of an organization.

Key leadership activities of this role include, but are not limited to: overall budget and revenue generation responsibilities, active leadership on initiatives to expand the regional tax base, initiating and collaborating on programs that strengthen the quality and quantity of workforce and providing connections and insights that promote business development and retain existing businesses. This innovative leader will work in collaborative partnership with business and community leaders, governmental officials and numerous local and regional allies as the economic development representative for McHenry County.

Interested applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferred to be in business, economics, finance, real estate, urban regional planning or related field and have a minimum of five years of mid to senior level management experience. Strong leadership expertise and exceptional communication and people skills are required. Volunteer management/board experience and intimate knowledge of McHenry County and the State of Illinois are highly preferred. Advanced degrees - MBA and CEcD a plus.
