SENIOR ENGINEER The Village of Skokie, IL seeks Senior Engineer to support our civil engineering functions. Under general supervision of the Engineering Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the Engineering Division. Position directs activities of staff responsible for all Village infrastructure improvement projects including streets, alleys, combined sewer, bike trail, sidewalks, water main and storm water management, and oversees the review of private development projects for conformance with Village regulations. Review Plats of Survey. Works with outside agencies and provides engineering assistance to other Village entities. B.S. in Civil Engineering, minimum five years civil engineering experience, State of Illinois Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain, and valid Driver's License are required. Proven knowledge of IDOT standard specs, AASHTO policy on geometric design of highways and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet required deadlines. Must possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to deal effectively and professionally with co-workers, residents and outside agencies. Salary range: $88,736 -$116,175.
