Transportation Engineer The Village of Skokie is seeking an Engineer to perform and coordinate a variety of engineering tasks with primary emphasis on traffic related projects and programs. Work is performed in the field and office. Responsibilities include preparing traffic impact analysis reports, analyzing the need for traffic control devices, and writing reports of findings based on studies. Other projects include review of traffic and parking components of private development, school & residential traffic issues, coordination with other agencies & monitoring of Village signs & permanent markings. Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required, traffic or transportation focus preferred. Two years experience in related field. Must be able to obtain P.E. Must possess good oral and written communication and technical writing skills and be able to interact effectively with the public. Salary range: $71,540 -$91,213/yr.
