Information Technology Technical Associate
- Any combination totaling two years from the following categories
- progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession
- college course work in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent
I 60 semester hours or Associate’s Degree equals one year
II 90-120 semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals two years
2. Expertise in network security tools and techniques (firewalls, forensic tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related study preferred.
- Prefer a minimum of 4 years of IT experience.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with contemporary operating systems and their administration (Linux, Unix, Windows, etc).
- Expertise in network security tools and techniques (firewalls, forensic tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Understanding of information security principles, scripting and programming skills.
