Location: This position will be based in either Indianapolis, IN or Virginia Beach, VA.  Relocation required.

The Digital Solutions Medicaid Growth Director will be responsible for driving the growth and development of digital strategies in support of Anthem’s Medicaid Business, and will leverage expertise in digital  trends to support our business partners in the development of innovative  solutions to derive value from business opportunities.   The position requires extensive experience in digital product management, analytics, relationship and consensus-building skills, and proven ability to think  strategically in the complex and evolving healthcare environment.  The successful candidate will have significant experience leveraging research and insights to drive holistic digital solutions in a highly cross-functional organization.  This position is responsible for managing the portfolio of digital work across Medicaid Digital Solutions and will be accountable for defining strategy and key deliverables and  aligning resources for priority initiatives. Anthem is looking for seasoned professional with a proven track record, a driven self-starter, problem solver, and someone that is passionate about creating remarkable digital experiences.

 

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

      * Active participation in the strategic planning process for the Medicaid business unit and digital solutions organization.

      * Leads the strategy and content development for Medicaid RFPs as it relates to digital solutions and capabilities; coordinates with other SMEs as needed and provides direction to proposal writers.

      * Analyzes market trends, proposes new product/service initiatives, and coordinates with the Marketing/Product Innovation area to implement products that support Medicaid’s and Anthem’s digital strategy.

      * Partners with leaders and associates in the broader enterprise digital solutions organization to align priorities and strategies.

      * Oversees the development of Medicaid Digital Solutions roadmaps and business cases, and mentors team Product Managers.

      * Provides oversight and resources to key projects. Develops business plans and formulates strategies for both new and existing businesses.

      * Provides research, analysis and recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of digital product roadmaps and strategic plans for the business unit.

      * Analyzes major competitor strategies. Monitors external best-in-class digital experiences and market trends among competition and cross-category industry leaders; identifies potential impacts on

strategy.

 

      * Identifies and monitors changing patterns of competition and recommends responses.

      * Plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of the reporting and data analysis team to accomplish the business objectives through information management.

      * Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support the business unit information needs and strategic initiatives.

      * Provides leadership in motivating indirect subordinates to accomplish reporting and data analysis goals and objectives.

      * Reports project status and progress to VP segment business and other management.

      * Acts as a liaison to other BUs/companies. Implements product/operational changes resulting from changing legislation/regulations.

 

      * Demonstrate subject matter expertise for digital experiences and product management, implementing processes to share trends, best practices, interdependencies, and alignment opportunities across the organization.

 

 

      * Proven track record of leadership in a highly complex digital environment including excellent communication skills, ability to influence and champion ideas effectively, strong analytical and organizational skills.

      * Ability to effectively operate as a digital expert with senior level business leaders across the organization.

      * Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategic plans & initiatives in a complex environment

      * Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to synthesize and creatively demonstrate accomplishments, decisions, and direction for executive level presentations.

      * Demonstrated success in developing a “big-picture” strategic vision complemented by digital solutions in the context of our consumer, customer and business partner needs.

      * Strong portfolio management, budgeting and analytical skills.

      * Strong bias for action, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with changing demands and a sense of urgency, and accountability on personal and team deliverables.​

      * Ability to influence, negotiate and work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environment.

      * A passion for identifying and leveraging emerging digital trends that are influencing consumer behavior and expectations with a focus on customer centricity.

      * Demonstrated track record of successful relationship development to drive planning and execution of large scale solutions.

 

Education & Experience

      * Requires a BA/BS degree; Masters degree preferred.

      * 8 - 10 years of business development experience in the healthcare and/or insurance industry including 5 years of progressive direct/indirect leadership responsibilities; 10 or more years of relevant experience in digital product management and marketing of digital products; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

      * Organizational, analytical, facilitation, consultation, negotiation, persuasion and project management skills required.

      * Experience in healthcare industry desirable but not required. Experience in a direct to consumer (DTC) capacity preferred
