House of Brides is now hiring for full and part time Retail Bridal Sales positions. We are accepting résumés for positions at House of Brides Couture in Chicago and House of Brides in Schaumburg, Glen Ellyn, Naperville/ Aurora and Orland Park. 

Retail Bridal Sales Consultants earn $12.00 to $15.00 hourly guaranteed and enjoy flexible hours, bonus programs and benefits.

Retail Bridal Sales Summary

General Summary:

Our Retail Bridal Sales Consultant is responsible for providing professional and superior customer service and driving sales in House of Brides salons. Consultants are experts in our collections and assist with the selection and purchase of wedding and special event apparel. Consultants provide information about House of Brides collections and service, and responds to all customer inquiries. He/ she acts in accordance to House of Brides policies and procedures.

Our most successful Retail Bridal Sales Consultants are motivated professionals with excellent communication skills and outgoing personalities.

Job Specifications:

Position Requirements

  • Full time positions may require day and/ or evenings and weekend hours 
  • Part time positions require a minimum of 1-weekday evening, Saturdays and alternating Sundays
  • General computer knowledge

Work Experience

  • 1 – 2 years prior retail experience in an apparel, service or specialty store environment.

Customer Service Skills

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to all customers
  • Know House of Brides and our collections and services and build product knowledge on a routine basis
  • Ability to assist and sell the customer including maximizing the sale of the gown, headpiece, foundation, etc. and wedding party
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining an emphasis on servicing the customer
  • Ability to communicate effectively with store staff and customers including during the appointment and all follow-up communications in appointments, phone calls and emails.
  • Support store management in performing responsibilities and tasks including store presentations and maintenance, inventory, merchandising the sales floor and other duties
