Job Profile : To champion the development of our pharmaceutical brands with a key focus on editorial development for the North American markets, the successful applicant will have at least five years reporting experience for an online B2B publication, skills in copy writing, telephone interviews, proof-reading and an ability to meet daily publishing deadlines. You will be able to identify relevant leads and deliver breaking news and off-diary content covering developments in pharmaceutical science, technology and industry issues for our sites, which combined, gather an independently audited circulation of more than 115,000 unique monthly visitors. To thrive in this fast-paced environment, you will have to be equally at home breaking news in text articles, videos or podcast reports or using social media. You should be equally comfortable talking to pharmaceutical engineers, CEOs or CROs, and ready to tackle public speaking events, including conferences or webinars. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, or a life science background would be an advantage, coupled with a willingness to learn the digital way and the ability to deliver superior content in what is a specialized, high-tech market. The person we appoint will also be a strategic thinker who can contribute to the brand development of our sites in the North American markets while working to exacting editorial deadlines and have the ability to distinctively run both sites. The successful candidate will be based in Chicago, Washington DC or North Carolina but will be expected to travel in the US and to Europe and Asia/Pacific.
