- Experienced Auto Dealership Comptroller We have a fantastic opportunity for "top tier talent" in this senior manager position. You'll be responsible for overseeing the activities at the 15 dealerships that make up the Chicagoland division of our auto group. This includes accounting function to include financial statements, general ledger, month-end close, staff supervision and more. This is a senior management position and in this role will have the ability to make process improvements, perform analysis and perform special projects with in the group. Some of these special projects may not be in the accounting realm so critical analytic thinking is strongly needed for this position. Responsibilities: -Work with finance/ accounting departments to analyze financial records to ensure dealership goals are met -Each individual store has its own office staff and Office Manager. Your responsibility will be to oversee and insure the stores run in a professional manner. -Assist with general accounting procedures as necessary -Oversee and coordinate accounting activities at all stores -Develop and promote internal programs -Provide additional management assistance to other departments as necessary Requirements: -AUTO DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE is a must!!! -ADP EXPERIENCE is preferred -Auditing and schedule evaluation skills are essential -A CPA is a big plus, but it is not necessary -Proven accounting experience -Demonstrated interpersonal skills -Prior supervisory experience, preferably in an automotive environment -We're a drug-free environment.
