Northern Illinois Food Bank provides nutritious food to all those in need through our own efforts and those of our partner agencies in the following 13 counties - Boone, DuPage, DeKalb, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will and Winnebago. NIFB acquires, gathers, handles, and distributes approximately three million pounds of donated, government, and purchased food each month through local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, youth activity centers and other food assistance sites.
The Food Bank is seeking a Summer Intern for the role of Human Resources Coordinator to support Recruiters in posting jobs in ADP and on 3rd party sites, supports employee referral communication and follow up and recruiting process support. Serves as liaison the for all recruiting firm inquiries. Maintains search firm contracts/Agency Agreements. Performs candidate scheduling working directly with Sr. HR Generalist, candidates and interview panels. Creates schedules and appointments in the shared calendar in Outlook. Tracks daily progress for interview schedules and sends daily status report. Collects documentation and creates new hire files. File auditing. HR administrative support to department (fax, copies, filing). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications /Requirements
Education and Experience
2-3 years professional office experience desired
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Strong administrative skills.
- Very organized.
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with tools and technology, experience with HR software preferred.
- Client service focus, proven ability to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Knowledge of employment law and applicable regulations/legislation.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
