The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Program Facilitator (Temporary Position in Chicago, IL).

Program Facilitators are representatives of the University and the degree programs in Executive Education, and should conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Attire is business professional. Particular attention should be paid to the confidential nature of much of our materials as well as our conversations with faculty, students as well as among the degree team in Executive Education.

The Program Facilitators’ role is to maintain the integrity of the classroom setting, reflecting the presence of the faculty member, and the spirit of Notre Dame. This will be aided by the adherence to, and enforcement of, the Mendoza Graduate Student Academic Policy, Degree Programs Student Handbook and Program Facilitators Manual.

Program Facilitators are expected to arrive 30 minutes before breakfast is served. They will stay and be available to students until 15 minutes after class ends. Program Facilitators are expected to stay at the site facility and provide support for logistics, the faculty and students throughout class sessions. This includes distribution of course materials, attention to technological needs and the coordination of catering for all class sessions.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Degree Programs, Executive Education and works with direction from the Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager. Course schedules and materials are provided by the Operations team along with specifics of set-up for that session. The Operations Manager will notify Program Facilitators of any changes in the schedule including the special events, speakers, etc. as part of the set up for the class weekend.

Additionally, the Program Facilitators are responsible for the technology used on-site. This includes Mediasite recordings in class, faculty support for PowerPoint presentations, and sound. The Program Facilitator will handle all level-one trouble shooting. If the communication issues are significant and interrupt class, technical support at Notre Dame should be contacted via phone for immediate support.

This position is at the Notre Dame Michigan Avenue campus location in Chicago.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with Faculty and executive students; understanding of customer service; support the learning experience and convey the culture; ability to keep composure under pressure; maturity to deal with variety of circumstances and information, some of which is proprietary and/or confidential; well organized; exceptional communication skills and the ability to be an independent worker. Must also be willing and able to be trained on use of classroom technology. Flexibility in hours is critical, though the normal class schedule is well known in advance. The majority of work hours will be Saturdays with occasional Fridays. Typical Saturday hours are 7:00am-6pm. Usual weekly hours will be 11-12.
The ability to travel to Notre Dame and assist with orientation and on-campus residencies twice per year are critical. Complete accurate and timely Program Facilitator reports for every class session.
