Investment Advisory Specialist (IAS)

Brookstone Capital Management is an RIA firm located in Wheaton, Illinois. As a registered investment advisor, Brookstone oversees more than $1.5 billion in assets under management, for over 260 advisors in various states through its network of financial advisors or third-party financial advisory firms.

JOB SUMMARY: Brookstone Capital Management, an innovative Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) is seeking an Investment Advisory Specialist (IAS) in our Wheaton, IL office to coordinate and manage Advisor support processes, support the Advisor sales process, and streamline daily operational processes and client documentation. This candidate will work with our Advisors, as well as members of other Brookstone departments, in a dynamic environment to manage the delivery of superior Advisor and Client service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage day to day issues as they arise from Advisors and their clients.
  • Become an expert in understanding the support structure and contacts at our partner clearing company (specific experience with TD Ameritrade a plus) and be able to navigate the custodian organization to complete tasks.
  • Managing tasks and priorities of assigned Advisor book of business
  • Create efficiencies in workflows
  • Supporting advisors by obtaining resolution to client or advisor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Processing distributions and contributions from/to client accounts
  • Completing, processing and tracking new account paperwork
  • Maintaining physical and electronic files of client records
  • Reviewing trade executions to confirm accuracy, placing trades for Advisors to our trade desk

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines, sometimes under short time constraints
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of retirement account types
  • Organizational and problem resolution skills
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment

    REQUIREMENTS: Experience and familiarity with various types of investment securities, and account opening & account transfer terminology required. You will work in a team environment where skill flexibility and aptitude to cross-train with other areas of firm is highly valued. College degree strongly preferred.
