IT Vendor Management Lead

*these 2 positions will only be filled in Indianapolis, IN

Responsible for supporting the vendor relationships specifically around performance management, contract management, financial management and governance. Advises business and vendor on contractual obligations while providing support for vendor governance and negotiations. Tracks implementation of vendor contracts, delivery of services against the agreed upon terms and conditions, SLAs, etc. Identifies, tracks, and manages contractual issues and disputes throughout the life of the contracts. Own all vendor contracts and manage all changes to contracts in a structured manner.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor supplier’s performance of the services and adherence to service levels, deliverable requirements, and other supplier performance obligations under the agreements
  • Monitor contracts, SLAs/OLAs, penalties and earn-backs through dashboards, metrics and daily/periodic reporting
  • Develop communication requirements between supplier and various staff and organizations within the IT organization.
  • Supports multiple IT Vendor Managers and lines of business
  • Manages contract terms and performance metrics
  • Oversees the execution of governance responsibilities by the vendor and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to maximize strategic value from the vendor relationships.
  • Track the IT vendor management program's business case to ensure actual savings are achieved and assist Business Unit with the budgeting & forecasting process.

Review and track vendor invoices including:

  • Verifying the rates and volumes as agreed in the contract.
  • Validating if the monthly invoicing is in line with the budget allocated for the project.
  • Regular communication with vendors to discuss charges, invoice related issues/disputes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Requires BA/BS in related field; 4+ years of IT industry experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Vendor Management and Relationship Management experience within outsourcing arrangements.

  • Must have a solid understanding of IT contracts.

  • Project management and change leadership skills – able to conduct comprehensive change initiatives across all core components: people, process and technology.

  • IT consulting/contract familiarity is a plus

  • Financial awareness and expertise including knowledge of budgeting

  • Ability to process/analyze vast amounts of data and generate meaningful results

  • Very strong analytical and presentation skills

  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly astute, energetic & team spirited with a strong work ethic.
