Responsibilities

**This is a VIRTUAL POSITION - job can be performed from any VZW area, regional, or corporate office. However, preferred primary location is within the Schaumburg, IL area**


Curriculum Development/Performance Consulting - Multi-Media Developer

Primary Role
  • Responsible for the pre-production, production and post-production of all multi-media including but not limited to: live-action, animated, interactive video, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other training workgroups and Area stakeholders to identify media development needs, gather data, and develop the most effective media materials for various training programs
  • Serve as an internal cross-functional liaison with all other L&D functions (e.g., Systems Training, Leadership Training, Sales and CS Training, etc.) putting forth needs/requirements and resolving issues for media development
  • Determine and manage program parameters including timing and requirements, delivery requirements, deliverable limitations (thin clients, tablets, training environments, etc.), media components and vendor support requirements
  • Proactively identify any potential opportunities for content enhancements or any other modifications to the multi-media programs to ensure that the media evolves with the changing needs of the business.
  • Produce high-quality, effective and user-friendly media, on-time, under aggressive deadlines
  • Research and introduce new media trends to enhance learners' retention of behavioral and technical skills
  • Develops 3D/graphics to support media projects
  • Provides video script-writing support
  • Determines roles and necessary support for multi-media projects. Leads the project, works with stakeholders to determine budget, coordinates logistics and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Provides video edits
  • Provide support with video postings/closed captioning to VZTube, VZLearn, mobile devices and various distribution platforms
  • Initiate live and pre-recorded video streaming online and video on demand, VOD IP broadcasting







Program Management and Maintenance Support
  • Determines changes/updates needed to media materials based on shifting business initiatives, product launches and operational changes.
  • Conduct key administrative duties for media programs including adhering to all budget guidelines, submitting all necessary documents, etc.
  • Conduct initial cost analysis for media programs and update cost data as needed with ongoing program changes and support.
  • Manage vendor support for media programs, including but not limited to contract initiation, negotiation and invoice support
  • Explore emerging live/mobile media technologies for Retail, Telesales, Customer Service, and Indirect channels
  • Author DVDs through Adobe Encore/DV Studio Pro. Serve as a liaison with More Business Solutions and various distribution vendors
  • Adhere to strict firewall limitations and token validations to streaming media



Performance Consulting/Program Effectiveness
  • Responsible for performance consulting with internal clients to determine appropriate media solutions and creative treatment
  • Determines changes/updates needed to media materials based on shifting business initiatives, product launches and operational changes.
  • Practices consistent archival of media according to document retention guidelines

Qualifications



Qualifications:

Required:
  • BA/BS degree in Multimedia Design, Video Production, Digital Cinematography, Graphic Design, Digital Arts & Design, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years video production experience
  • Minimum 2 years video editing experience
  • Strong current working knowledge of appropriate Consumer Products, CS/Sales processes/procedures, systems and sales skills required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Premier editing applications, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Encore, Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects, 3D Lightwave Sorenson Media, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, and Camtasia
  • Proficient operation of video production equipment (video cameras, lighting kits, microphones, Teleprompters, clapboards, etc.).
  • Proficient in script writing, video directing, filming, etc.
  • Requires excellent verbal, written and computer desktop publishing skills in all Microsoft Office applications and other software, Internet/intranet skills
  • Requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, including ability to translate technical information into meaningful language for stakeholders, leadership and peers.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Requires strong time-management skills, organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on a virtual team.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred:
  • Digital animation experience preferred
  • Facilitation/training experience and knowledge of adult learning theory and is preferred.
  • Multiple channel experience is preferred (e.g. Customer Service, Tech Support, BCGO, B2B, Retail, Telesales)
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Minimum 3 years training experience and/or at least 4 years experience in Sales and/or Customer Service Training, Organization Development or in functional group for which Training is provided/developed.







Position requires an average of 26 - 50% travel to capture video and participate in multi-media projects.
