Background

The Third Party Vendor (TPV) Manager is responsible for the Verizon negotiated relationships between vendors and suppliers that support the solutions we are delivering to tier 1 global clients. The Vendor Manager will also oversee existing customer third-party vendor contracts.

The TPV Manager is responsible for a challenging range of activities, some of which will include:
  • Track and improve ongoing delivery of service with Verizon third-party vendor and client partners.
  • Act as a point of escalation for trouble ticket resolution for third-party vendor service problems as necessary.
  • Intervene with third-party vendor management to escalate service failures.
  • Review third-party vendor monthly invoices, verify and approve them for payment.
  • Facilitate third party contract renewals where necessary, engaging contract management, sourcing and legal departments as necessary
  • Coordinate TPV activities within the bid team during the program life cycle
  • Conduct TPV reviews with all Program Stakeholders
  • Defining and implementing optimizations scenarios for TPVs in order to reduce overall costs of programs and service delivery
  • Assist sales team in identifying potential new revenue opportunities
  • Ensure smooth transition of TPVs from closure of sale to implementation
  • Compile, track and forecast TPV expenditure within assigned program



Qualifications



To be successful in the role it is likely you will have had a broad range of experience across the telecoms / technology sector covering the majority of the following areas:
  • Proven and successful vendor negotiation and management experience
  • Managed Telecommunications and IT Service experience. Experience in an outsourcing environment is desirable.
  • Solid exposure to finance, sales and legal practices as applicable to service providers
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze them and provide potential solutions
  • Strong familiarity with Complex Deals stage sales process
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects across various organizations and global regions
  • Strong knowledge of M.S. Office applications and Share Point
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce technical and business reports
  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
  • Familiarity with Verizon products/services and operational processes
  • Knowledge of SRM application
  • BS/BA, or equivalent preferred, 4-6 years of job-related experience.
