Sr. Analyst Business Intelligence

Responsibilities

The Sr. Analyst Business Intelligence's primary responsibility is performing critical results and trend analysis activities to identify key productivity and cost saving opportunities. They are responsible for working independently and delivering action oriented recommendations to senior leadership, resulting in attainment of the region and area strategic goals. This individual will need to develop presentations on these opportunities that apply to the area and/or particular regions and then facilitate meetings with the various functions/regions to drive the desired results. They will be responsible for facilitating meetings with multiple levels of the organization from sales reps to the Regional Presidents / Area Vice President of Marketing/Finance. Partner cross functionally with Customer Service, Finance, IT, Marketing, Operations and HR to ensure functional strategic goals are valid and appropriate to achieve the company goals.
Present (physically and verbally) high-quality, professional business insights at appropriate levels across the organization from front-line to executive leadership; communicate performance, make recommendations, and enable important decision-making around top initiatives in the results-focused organization.
Work closely with cross functional teams in efforts to proactively anticipate the reporting needs of the area/regions. Work collaboratively with area and region reporting teams in establishing and maintaining consistent formatting. Organize results in a professional and meaningful format to highlight opportunities and drive behavioral changes.
Work independently to identify opportunities; design appropriate analytical approach; and lead analysis to draw insights and formulate actionable recommendations for management. Lead initiatives with stakeholders and lead meetings (with regions and area leadership) to identify and resolve areas of opportunities for additional sales or retaining more customer and/or products. Stakeholders would mostly include area and region leadership.
Regular, ongoing analysis of sales, products and services, KPI, customer segmentation, as well as complex, strategic and analytical projects to evaluate and make recommendations around growth, revenue, and profitability initiatives and opportunities. Advanced knowledge of multiple reporting sources to be used in combinations to derive conclusions. Independent and dependent sources used to validate and/or refute hypotheses and statistical variances. Strong focus on optimizing resource efficiency through the relentless pursuit of automation and streamlined processes. Utilize Teradata SQL to mine data from the UDM (or other data sources) if necessary. Utilize statistical and operational analysis along with predictive modeling techniques to derive the opportunities to the business (or set targets).

Qualifications

5+ years Finance/Sales/Marketing experience working with key metrics and business drivers.
5+ years or more experience in reporting, financial analysis, or related field; experience in technology and/or wireless industry strongly preferred.
Proven analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
Proven ability to perform needs assessment, make recommendations and execute change.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate complex ideas. Includes strong presentation-building, PowerPoint skills with outstanding ability to build visual models and convey relevant meaning.
Ability to develop strong internal relationships with all levels of management, including executive leadership and regional operations teams; openness to collaboration and feedback; and demonstrated ability to build consensus.
Strong working knowledge of UDM, Business Dashboards (Peak, BIS, Churn, B2B, EIS) and various other applications used by the business.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products, expert in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Detail oriented, results driven, flexible, and strong sense of urgency.
Must be self-driven and able to manage multiple initiatives at one time and meet deadlines with little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a high-energy, dynamic and sometimes unstructured environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Project management experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor Degree Finance or Related Field of Study
