End to End Design & Delivery

 

Come join the exciting, fast paced world of Illinois’ premiere shopping destination!  Mariano’s is growing and seeking a self-motivated, training and curriculum development extraordinaire to join our expanding team.  This is a newly created opportunity for individuals with a “can do” attitude, solid experience in leading and building end to end instructional design and delivery initiatives.   We are seeking a strong leader who possesses a passion for service and thrives in an ever changing retail environment.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Assess, target and align training needs with departmental and organizational goals
  • Partner with stakeholders to analyze their needs and design, update or build from “scratch”  effective learning solutions 
  • Manage the design and development of instructional materials (e.g. objectives, instructor and participant materials, video scripts, storyboards, e-learning, job aids, reinforcement materials, train the trainer materials, and evaluation criteria) with established standards and methodologies
  • Maintain and update training materials to ensure current policies and procedures to ensure programs are compliant and applicable
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and the application of learning to job performance
  • Prepare project status reports and deliver reports and updates to stakeholders
  • Prepares comprehensive training strategies and implementation plans to meet the identified need
  • Assists and participates on cross-functional teams for special project work and initiatives
  • Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) to assign training courses to team members and troubleshot for store

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Instructional Design, or related field. Master’s degree Instructional Design or related field preferred.
  • ASTD, CCASTD or ISPI membership(s) highly desired.

Follows the ADDIE outline

  • Experience managing end-to-end instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, and delivery) to create curriculum programs
  • Minimum of five years adult learning theory and instructional design/delivery in a retail, service or hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience designing coursework and all required materials for training
  • Ability to work closely with subject matter experts to convert operational practices into training materials
  • Capacity to multitask while adhering to strict deadlines in order to complete projects in a timely fashion
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong presentation and facilitation skills, and excellent organization and attention to detail required.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Camtasia, Lectora and Captivate or other similar programs used for training initiatives
