Talent Acquisition Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for providing a wide range of professional and administrative support for CZS talent acquisition in order to support Society hiring needs in an expedient and quality fashion. Serving as primary administrative support and office point of contact, this encompasses assisting with or performing a variety daily administrative activities in support of full-life cycle recruitment for full-time, part-time, temporary and high-volume (non-exempt/hourly) positions not limited to but including posting positions, scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, collecting required paperwork, handling incoming phone calls, reception, etc. As assigned, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator may assist with applicant screening, phone interviews, and behavioral interviews to of candidates. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will assist in recruitment outreach, actively participate in job fairs and recruitment events in the community as requested, and maintain appropriate records and documentation of recruitment and other employment activities, decisions, and efforts. This is a busy position supporting multiple staff responsible for recruitment and seasonal employment.

Position Requirements and Specifications
The requirements for this position include:


  • Relevant Associates Degree or equivalent coursework in pertinent HR topics, behavioral interviewing training, AIRS training or certification, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience required.

  • Three-five years directly relevant, comparable HR, recruitment, or high-level administrative experience required.

  • Must possess a very high level of detail orientation and organizational skills. Must be able to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and a keen sense of urgency.

  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, follow through, and prioritization skills required. Ability to meet deadlines and carry out assigned duties with minimal supervision required. Excellent multi-tasking ability essential.

  • Must be able to identify tasks to be completed and move forward independently without prompting. Demonstrated initiative and ability to take action on information and resolve non-routine issues using sound business judgment.

  • Computer literacy required. Must be proficient in spreadsheet creation/usage, word processing, email software and Internet.

  • Highly professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to maintain highly confidential information. Strong communications skills, verbal, written and good listening skills. Demonstrated skills in building strong internal and external relationships. Must be able to easily develop rapport with staff at all levels.

  • Very strong customer service skills and focus. Team player with willingness to get involved and assume additional responsibilities.

  • Experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience.

  • Work weeks may exceed 40 hours, including possible extended days and/or weekends during busy periods. Some local travel required to attend off-site recruitment or career day events.

  • Valid driver's license required. Illinois residents must possess a valid Illinois license within 90 days of hire. Valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents.


The desirable/preferred qualifications include:


  • Recruitment experience, including recruitment support, screening candidates, behavioral-based interviewing, candidate management, and/or recruitment processes and procedures desirable.

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Psychology, or other closely related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) highly preferred. Experience with ATS systems, HRIS, database, and/or similar systems a definite plus.

  • Multi-lingual ability and Spanish fluency a plus.
