Training Coordinator

As Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for overall system administration and accuracy and proper functioning of the CZS Learning Management System. This includes working with staff to ensure training records are accurate, the system is functioning properly, and staff members are able to access their personal training libraries. You will be responsible for administering training programs and assisting in identifying and contracting with off-site trainers as required. This includes coordinating and administering training program registrations; working with the Director of Staff Training and Development to create and issue staff communications; and, maintaining all training records, updating records within 48 hours following completion of training, and generating system reports. You will make use of your excellent organizational skills to track participant and employer compliance with any applicable State or Federal regulations and stated CZS objectives related to required training; collecting and monitoring training evaluations and proposing recommended changes. This also includes running regular training reports and creates year end training report. You will use your strong coordination skills working with Catered Events staff to reserve all classrooms sufficiently in advance; preparing and setting up rooms for all training sufficiently in advance of the start time, including all logistics, equipment, materials, set up, etc. to assure the trainer has everything needed and all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each class. You will collect all materials, class evaluations, supplies, etc., and assures basic clean up of classroom at the end of each class and assist in or prepare and distribute training aids, such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids. As Training Coordinator, you will keep abreast and remain current on the latest industry technology tools and trends in on-line education and instructional media. With the Director, you will recommend systems, improvements and changes, and additional resources needed to assure desired level of support and service to achieve optimal office efficiency. You will manage, assist in, and implement new systems and changes as appropriate with other assigned staff. As Training coordinator, you will document training department protocols, standard operating procedures, and processes; create and maintain procedure manuals, training manuals, and desk reference manuals as appropriate; assist in preparation of and manage the training budget, process training invoices for payment, prepare and administers contract for/related to the training area; support the New Hire Orientation and on-boarding process; and, support the upkeep and administration of the CZSU Physical Library collection.

Position Requirements and Specifications
The requirements for this position include:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, educational development and training, organizational psychology, business or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.
  • Two plus years related experience in a mid-large organization.
  • Must have a very strong systems and computer background, hands-on experience, and strong aptitude in implementing creative, cost effective technology systems, processes, and solutions to improve learning efficiencies.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Must be proactive, persistent, and helpful; able to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Eye for detail, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Strong computer background and proficiency required.
  • Solid interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, and active listening skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and deal tactfully and effectively with difficult individuals and situations.
  • Strong follow through, prioritization, and coordinating skills.
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Dependable, trustworthy individual; able to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information.
  • Must be highly motivated and willing to get involved. Highly flexible and willing to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license required for Illinois residents within 90 days of hire; valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents.
  • Regular work weeks of 40+ hours is not unusual. Individual will be expected to be present and visible at assigned HR/employee events.
  • Some local travel may be required.

The desirable/preferred qualifications include:


  • Experience designing, developing, facilitating and evaluating employee training desired.
  • Experience working with Skillsoft's Learning Management System.
  • Multilingual ability, Spanish fluency a plus.
