Loan Servicing Specialist - Hampshire
| Job Description: | The Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist’s responsibilities will primarily be related to servicing the commercial loans, though some functions may be shared between the retail and commercial teams to adjust for staffing changes and work load volumes. Commercial lending includes many specialized functions and requires a high degree of customer service. This individual must have the aptitude and flexibility to adapt quickly to the commercial environment. The vast variety of functions, many being multi-faceted, demand a strong capacity for learning and retention, and must be performed with a high degree of accuracy. Each individual in this role is expected to perform any and all additional responsibilities required by the needs of the department, in a timely manner, and be flexible to changes in those requirements. Functions will include review of proper documentation and working with lenders to assure all necessary components of the loan file are documented and collateral is secured, new loan input, paid loan processing, research, maintenance, account reconciliation and any other operational functions associated with booking and servicing customer loan accounts. Each individual will also be expected to perform general administrative tasks. Regular e-mail and phone contact with internal and external associates and customers is necessary. Aptitude for figures with attention to detail. Accuracy and speed must coincide. Work with calculator and use some analytical skills in problem solving situations, and reconciliation. Strong organizational skills needed with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment, where priorities are subject to change. This is an hourly (non-exempt) position. Responsibilities: Data Entry/Input transactions/ and Review new loan documentation and other’s work for completeness and accuracy, with attention to policy requirements and potential risks. Work with internal and external associates to provide resolution and follow-up. Service incoming lender and customer phone requests, research, system maintenance, etc. Enter balanced transactions to customer accounts and corresponding accounting transactions. Heavy focus on data entry and computer interaction. Operate miscellaneous computer systems and software. May include but is not limited to Windows, MS Access, Laser Pro, Word-processing, imaging systems, and extensive use/knowledge of the Silverlake core system. Other miscellaneous functions as necessary. Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred. General office skills are required. Previous commercial loan servicing or bank operational experience preferred. Communication with team members and supervisor continual, as well as phone and e-mail contact with lenders, other bank staff and outside vendors/customers. Also, must be respectful of others and of customer privacy. Basic computer skills, including accurate data input, Windows, word processing, Laser Pro, application database, database reporting, imaging, and printing, etc. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; includes a Saturday morning rotated schedule, and occasional 5:30 rotation. Occasional Overtime may be necessary upon supervisor approval. Infrequent travel to meetings may be required.
